Patrick, the AR - 15 was invented in the USA and manufactured here.

'A Brief History Of The AR-15'
'Here's a quick history lesson on why AR-15 has become the umbrella term for a range of semi-automatic rifles made by a host of gun makers.'
"AR" comes from the name of the gun's original manufacturer, ArmaLite, Inc. (American Co.) The letters stand for ArmaLite Rifle — and not for "assault rifle" or "automatic rifle."
'ArmaLite first developed the AR-15 in the late 1950s as a military rifle, but had limited success in selling it. In 1959 the company sold the design to Colt.'
'In 1963, the U.S. military selected Colt to manufacture the automatic rifle that soon became standard issue for U.S. troops in the Vietnam War. It was known as the M-16.'
Thanks Fern, I’ve worked with/for several defense contractors throughout my lifetime. Sadly, the fact remains guns have built America ! The “Cold War” weapons race was responsible for the AR15’s existence, along with several other weapons far too few know exist today!
Yep. I used to have a more empathetic (to those poor, villainized gun-lovers) solution: let them keep those suckers in gun clubs. Now I think, fuck it. Round them up, melt them down, and use the pool of molten steel to make gas grills.
earthworms = children in the mud
schoolchildren + AR 15s = 3,500 children and teens (ages 0 to 19) shot and killed;
15,000 are shot and wounded = an average of 52 American children and teens every day.
So, Fuck the USA, the country that made this nightmare come true.
And Russia for the creation of this weapon. However, this country, sadly, was created by use of guns… be it racist, religion, slavery and $$$!

The thing is, they’re mostly aluminum…
4.1 kg fully loaded, 3.7kg unloaded.
transformations from bad to useful -- good.
