You may not need this right now, but it weighs on my mind.
Better get the kids to leave the room, just through the fifth paragraph. If they’re still up. Why are they still up? They should be dreaming of sugarplums so they can wake up cruelly (parent’s perspective) early to find what Santa brought.
“To see their eyes light up” was my mother’s oft-stated pleasure in being there when the kids beheld Santa’s bounty.
Anyway here’s the thing:
I am quoted online as stating that “Contemporary American children, if they are old enough to grasp the concept of Santa Claus by Thanksgiving, are able to see through it by December 15th.”
