It has just now clicked in with me, somehow, that before the assault on the U. S. Capitol three years ago, January 6 had a more sacred claim to fame: Epiphany, same date every year, the day when a star led three wise men, so-called, to a stable where the baby Jesus lay, cooing majestically.
