The Harvest Moon is over. A one-night stand. First it set, if that is what moons do.
There is a word, moonset. You don't hear it much.
People say, "Look at the sunset!” Or, "Look at the moon!"
We don’t want the moon to set. It’s such a good-sounding word. You know the Brecht/Weill song:
Moon of Alabama, now I'll say good-bye --
We've lost our good old mama,
And we must have whiskey or we will die.
