One firm belief of mine that Donald Trump flouts is that you should choose the right word, stick with it, and move on. You weaken your statement if you call judges who disagree with you "radical left lunatics," or even describe a homicide victim, as Trump did to Congress, as "a beautiful young angel" who was "attacked, assaulted, beaten, brutalized, and horrifically murdered."
Yes, "homicide victim" is too abstract. But she deserves sympathy that does not, despicably, pile on lurid words.
Judges are fallible. But regular people have to take them seriously. When judges stand up to Trump, surely we see his hollow bluster when he calls them "lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings."
